China's Bus Export Sales Rankings for May 2025 Released!
According to the latest data from the China Bus Statistics Information Network, China exported a total of 6,809 buses (≥3.5m in length) in May, marking a 25.35% year-on-year increase and an 18.71% month-on-month rise. Following a nearly 17% month-on-month decline in April, this dual growth of over 18% in May undoubtedly injects greater confidence into bus exports and powerfully reaffirms exports as a vital segment supporting China's bus market.
In May: King Long secured its fourth consecutive championship; Yutong and Higer took second and third place; BYD recorded the highest year-on-year growth; Foton AUV claimed the crown for month-on-month growth
Specifically, in May, Xiamen King Long Bus defended its championship title with a stellar performance: monthly export sales of 1,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 17.10%, a month-on-month growth of 9.05%, and a market share of 14.69%—capping off its 'four consecutive monthly titles' from February to May this year.
Yutong maintained its second-place position with export sales of 934 units, achieving a month-on-month growth of 6.74% and capturing a 13.72% market share, closely trailing the champion.
Suzhou King Long (Higer Bus) rose from sixth place in April to third in May, with export sales of 889 units—a 15.30% year-on-year increase and a 124.49% month-on-month surge—capturing a 13.06% market share.
Among the top 10 exporters in May, at least seven companies achieved year-on-year growth. BYD recorded the highest increase at 136.05%, followed by JMC Jingma (126.32%) and Foton AUV (114.92%), both doubling their growth rates.
Similarly, at least seven companies saw month-on-month growth. Foton AUV led with a 132.75% surge, while Suzhou King Long (Higer Bus) also doubled its growth at 124.49%.
At least five enterprises achieved both year-on-year and month-on-month growth: Xiamen King Long, Suzhou King Long (Higer Bus), Zhongtong Bus, Foton AUV and BYD.
